The seminar will present a retrospective analysis of scientific interdisciplinary views on the neuropsychiatric development of children in the first years of life, based on the research of physiologist V.M. Bekhterev and his collaborators and followers (doctors, teachers and psychologists) N.M. Shchelovanov, N.I. Kasatkin, N.M. Aksarina.
The Russian scientific School of early care for children with developmental disabilities is based on the cultural and historical theory of L.S. Vygotsky and the systematic research of his followers. The seminar will consider the key classical theoretical and methodological approaches to early comprehensive care for a child with developmental disabilities.
The scientific and practical experimental research of the modern scientists will also be presented. Special attention will be paid to scientific approaches to the psychological and pedagogical support of the family of a child of the first years of life with various developmental disorders.
